The Culture Code AI | Proud Black man voter on Black Man Voter Day
Tuesday, October 20, 2026 | Editor: Morris Smith
⚡ Quick Wins
  • This Saturday, October 24, is National Black Man Voter Day. Six of our biggest organizations, the NAACP, 100 Black Men, the National Urban League, Black Men Vote, Woke Vote, and State of the People, are moving as one to get 100,000 Black men to vote early. We have a few days to help hit that number.
  • Your mission this week: do not just vote. Organize your circle. The goal is not one vote, it is you plus five brothers. We show you how to run that like a campaign below.
  • Also today in 1964, Jomo Kenyatta became Kenya's first president. A people claiming the right to govern themselves. That is exactly what a ballot is: self governance, in your hand.
  • Gemini 4 Argon just dropped, and it is a quiet organizing weapon. AI that can plan your outreach, draft your texts, and keep your crew on track in the background. We put it to work for the cause below.
  • Show our partners some love. 🤝🏾 This newsletter stays free because our advertising partners back this mission. Take 30 seconds to visit their page at Gladly. Every click proves that investing in our community pays off, and keeps this in your inbox.
✊🏾 State of the Union

Good Morning, Fam'!

Let me talk to the brothers for a minute, and the sisters who love us, hold on, because this is for all of us. This Saturday, October 24, is National Black Man Voter Day. Six of the most serious organizations we have, the NAACP, 100 Black Men of America, the National Urban League, Black Men Vote, Woke Vote, and State of the People, have linked arms with one goal: get 100,000 Black men to vote early. Not a slogan. A number. A target. And we have a few days to help hit it.

Here is why they are calling the brothers specifically. For too long, the story told about Black men is that we do not show up, that we are hard to reach, that our vote does not move. That story was never the whole truth, and this is our chance to bury it. When Black men move together, the whole community feels it. The ballot is the one place where the brother working two jobs and the brother running a business count exactly the same. One man, one vote, full stop. There is no other room in America where that is true.

And it rhymes with today's history. On this day in 1964, Jomo Kenyatta became the first president of Kenya, a people who had been told they could not govern themselves, taking the reins anyway. That is what a ballot is: self governance, placed in your own hand. So this week we are not just talking about voting. We are going to organize like it is a campaign, because it is, and we are going to use every tool we have, including the newest AI, to get our brothers to the polls. One vote is a start. Five brothers is a movement. Let's build it.

Gemini 4 Argon | Turn One Person Into a Whole Ground Game

THE SCOOP

Google just released Gemini 4 Argon, its most capable model yet. The part that matters for organizers is the new tasks mode: you hand it a job and it works on it in the background, even when you are away from your computer. It answers directly, cuts the fluff, and can keep a long project moving. In plain terms, it can help one person plan outreach, draft every message, track who said yes, and manage a whole push, the kind of work that used to take a staff.

THE VIBE CHECK

Campaigns win on organization, and organization used to require money and bodies we did not always have. Now the organizing muscle is free and in your pocket. You, with AI, can run outreach like a field office of one. That is the point this week: the same tool that can build a business can build a get out the vote operation. Power is just organized people, and now you can organize faster than ever.

🚀 Builder's Playbook

Three moves to turn yourself into a one man get out the vote machine before Saturday. Fresh plays built for Black Man Voter Day, powered by AI that does the legwork.

MOVE 1 | THE FIVE BROTHER LIST

The need: we overthink voting outreach and end up doing nothing. The play: name five Black men in your life who might not vote, your cousin, your boy from the job, your barber. Have AI draft a short, personal, no pressure text to each one, the real plan, where to go, when early voting is open. You do not need to convince 100,000. You need your five. If every brother gets his five, that is the number.

MOVE 2 | THE PLAN TO VOTE CARD

The need: people do not skip voting because they do not care, they skip it because they do not have a plan. The play: use AI to build a simple "plan to vote" for your area, the nearest early voting site, the hours, what ID to bring, how long it takes. Make it dead simple, then send it to your list. Remove the friction and the vote follows.

MOVE 3 | THE RIDE OR REMINDER

The need: a yes today becomes a no by the weekend without a nudge. The play: have AI help you set up a simple reminder chain, a text the day before, a "you still good?" the morning of, and offer a ride to anybody who needs one. The difference between intention and turnout is one follow up. Be the follow up.

MEGA PROMPT | RUN YOUR OWN GROUND GAME

"Act as a field organizer helping me run a personal get out the vote push for Black Man Voter Day on October 24, targeting the Black men in my own life.

MY SITUATION: [YOUR CITY AND STATE, AND ROUGHLY HOW MANY PEOPLE YOU COULD REACH]

1. THE LIST: Help me think through who in my circle is least likely to vote and most worth a personal nudge.

2. THE MESSAGE: Write me 3 short, warm, no pressure text messages I can personalize and send.

3. THE PLAN TO VOTE: Give me the exact questions I need answered about early voting in my area so I can hand people a simple plan. [TELL ME TO VERIFY THESE AT MY OFFICIAL STATE ELECTION SITE]

4. THE FOLLOW UP: Lay out a simple reminder schedule from now through Saturday, October 24.

5. THE ASK: Help me make a clear ask, including offering a ride, that feels like a brother looking out, not a campaign."

Always confirm voting details, dates, locations, and ID rules at your official state or local election website. Get the full campaign and resources at blackmanvoterday.org.

🎨 Marketing Moves

STRATEGY 1 | THIS BLACK MAN VOTES

The campaign's own hashtag is #ThisBlackManVotes, and your story is the most persuasive ad there is. Record a 30 second clip, or write a few lines, about why you vote. Use AI to tighten it, then post it and tag a few brothers to do the same. One authentic voice from inside the community moves more people than any polished ad from outside it.

STRATEGY 2 | THE GROUP CHAT IS THE CHANNEL

Forget trying to go viral. Your real reach is the group chats you are already in, the family thread, the fraternity line, the fantasy football chat. Use AI to draft one clean, shareable message with the plan to vote, and drop it in every chat you are part of. The most trusted channel we have is each other.

AFFILIATE SPOTLIGHT

Descript: Recording your #ThisBlackManVotes clip? Descript lets you edit video and audio as easily as editing text, add captions, and clean it up in minutes. Make your message sharp enough to share. Free to start.

Zero Results, Zero Sales

They came to your site ready to buy. They typed exactly what they wanted. And your search bar ghosted them.

Traditional site search relies on rigid, exact keyword matching. When a shopper uses natural language or makes a simple typo, they hit a “0 Results Found” wall and leave for a competitor.

Stop letting search bars ghost your best customers. Gladly understands shopper intent and turns dead ends into recommendations that keep shoppers buying.

💼 Career Moves

Be the Organizer, and Watch Your Whole Reputation Change

The skill you build this week is not just civic, it is professional. Pulling people together around a goal, communicating a clear plan, following up until it is done, that is leadership, and it is the exact thing that gets people promoted. When you organize your circle for Black Man Voter Day, you are practicing the same muscle that runs a team at work: cast the vision, make the ask, track the follow through. People notice who steps up and gets others moving. Use AI to do the heavy lifting so your energy goes into the thing machines cannot do, looking a man in the eye and asking him to show up. That reputation, the one who gets people to act, follows you into every room.

"Act as a leadership coach helping me turn the organizing I am doing for Black Man Voter Day into a visible leadership skill I can use at work.

MY ROLE: [YOUR JOB AND WHERE YOU WANT TO GROW]

1. THE PARALLEL: Show me how the steps of organizing people to vote map to leading a team or project at work.

2. THE SKILL: Name the specific leadership skills I am building this week and how to talk about them.

3. THE SHOWCASE: Give me low key ways to bring this same initiative to my job so leadership sees it.

4. THE LEVERAGE: Help me turn being the person who gets others moving into a bigger role or a raise."
🔥 Prompt Lab

The Why I Vote Script | Make Your Story Impossible to Ignore

The most powerful get out the vote message is not a fact, it is a story. This prompt helps you turn your own reason for voting into a short, honest script you can post with #ThisBlackManVotes or just send to a brother who is on the fence. Your voice, sharpened.

"Act as a storytelling coach helping me write a short, real, 30 second script about why I vote, for Black Man Voter Day.

ABOUT ME: [WHO VOTES IN YOUR LIFE INSPIRED YOU, WHAT YOU ARE VOTING FOR, OR A MOMENT THAT CHANGED HOW YOU SEE IT]

1. THE HOOK: Give me a first line that stops the scroll and feels true to me.

2. THE STORY: Help me tell my reason in a few honest sentences, no politician talk.

3. THE ASK: End it with a clear, warm call for other brothers to vote early.

4. THE VERSIONS: Give me one version to say on camera and one to post as text with #ThisBlackManVotes."
💰 Skill Builder

High Value Skill: Mobilizing People 🤝🏾

The rarest and most valuable skill in any community is the ability to move people to act. Not to lecture them, not to argue with them, but to make it easy and compelling for them to do the right thing. This is the skill behind every movement we have ever had, and it is learnable. It comes down to three things: a clear ask, removing the friction, and following up with love. Master that this week on something that matters, getting brothers to the polls, and you will own a skill you can use for the rest of your life, in your business, your family, and your community. Power is organized people. Learn to organize.

This Week's Challenge: Get at least one Black man who was not planning to vote to commit to voting early this week, and help him make a real plan to do it. Just one. Then try for five.

Two Black men, one older one younger, walking together to vote with pride

Saturday, October 24, is the day: National Black Man Voter Day. The goal is 100,000 of us voting early. Do not let it be a number you read about. Be part of it, and bring your brothers with you.

🧰 Tools To Level Up

Black Man Voter Day: The official home base. Get the campaign resources, find out how to plug in, and join the 100,000. Start here, then take it to your circle.

Gemini: Your one man field office. Let it draft your outreach, build your plan to vote, and keep your follow ups on track while you focus on the conversations.

Aisha: The AI assistant built by us. Use it to plan your outreach, sharpen your message, and organize your people. Use it and help it grow.

In 1964 a people took back the right to govern themselves. This Saturday, we exercise that same right, together, on purpose, in numbers. National Black Man Voter Day is October 24. The goal is 100,000 brothers voting early. Do not just be one of them. Bring five. Power is organized people, and this week, we organize.
