- Four days to Election Day. If you have already voted, thank you, you are the reason we are this close. If you have not, early voting is still open in many places this weekend. Finish strong.
- October 30th 1991, BET became the first Black controlled company on the New York Stock Exchange. Proof that when we build and own, we can take our rightful place at the biggest tables in the country. Today we talk about the future we are four days from building.
- This issue is a vision. We have spent weeks talking about getting to the polls. Today we look past them, at what our lives can look like when the work pays off. Picture it, because you cannot build what you cannot see.
- Our numbers are real. From Keisha Lance Bottoms in Georgia to Angie Nixon in Florida, our people are on ballots up and down the country. We close out this cycle looking forward.

Good Morning, Fam'!
Let me start with a thank you. For weeks we have talked about the ballot, the early vote, the plan, the crew. If you answered that call and already cast your vote, you are the reason this community is strong, and I mean that. We are now four days from Election Day, and if you have not voted yet, this weekend is your window in many places. Let's finish what we started.
But today I want to do something different. I want us to look up and look forward. One this day in 1991, BET became the first Black controlled company to trade on the New York Stock Exchange. Think about what that took: a people shut out of the markets for centuries walking straight into the heart of American capital and claiming a seat. That is who we are. We do not just survive the system, we build inside it and we own. So today, with four days left, let's stop looking only at the fight in front of us and picture the house on the other side of it.
Because here is the truth that keeps you going when you are tired: we are not voting against something, we are voting toward something. Toward schools that are funded like our kids matter. Toward workers who get paid what they are worth. Toward courts and leaders who defend us instead of target us. This issue is a vision of what our lives can look like when the numbers we have turn into the wins we have earned. It is not a promise, it is a possibility, and possibility is the thing nobody can take from us. Let's picture it, then let's go finish the job.
The Tools of the Future Are Finally Ours Too
THE SCOOP
The same week we talk about building our future, the tools to build it keep getting more powerful. New AI like Claude Duet now works like a proactive teammate, briefing you every morning, watching your accounts, and handling real tasks in the background so one person can do the work of a team. For the first time, the kind of leverage that used to belong only to the wealthy and the well connected is landing in our hands too.
THE VIBE CHECK
Here is why this matters on an election week. BET broke into the stock exchange with grit and vision in a world that gave us no tools. Imagine what this generation does with the best tools ever made. The future we are voting toward, more Black businesses, more Black wealth, more Black institutions, gets built faster when we master the technology of the moment. Cast your vote for the conditions. Then use these tools to build in them.
Three plays to turn this moment into momentum. Original strategies for a forward looking fam: finish the vote, then build toward the future you just pictured.
MOVE 1 | THE CLOSING KICK
The need: the last four days are when the tired set in and the undecided drift off. The play: do one more pass through your circle. Use AI to draft a short, warm "we are almost there" message and send it to anyone who has not confirmed they voted. Offer the ride, send the location, close the gap. Elections are won in the final stretch. Be the push at the finish.
MOVE 2 | THE VISION BOARD FOR YOUR BLOCK
The need: change feels abstract, so people disconnect from it. The play: make it concrete. Use AI to help you write a short list of what a stronger future actually looks like where you live, a funded school, a fair wage, a safe neighborhood, a protected vote, and share it. When people can see the house, they help build it. Turn policy into a picture.
MOVE 3 | THE DAY AFTER PLAN
The need: we pour everything into Election Day and go quiet on November 4th, and that is how momentum dies. The play: decide now what you build next, whatever the outcome. A business, a community group, a mentorship, a voter list you keep warm for next time. Use AI to map your first 30 days after the election. Voting is one move. Building is the whole game.
MEGA PROMPT | BUILD YOUR VISION OF THE WIN
MY WORLD: [YOUR CITY/STATE, WHAT YOU CARE MOST ABOUT: SCHOOLS, JOBS, SAFETY, SMALL BUSINESS, FAMILY]
1. THE VISION: Help me describe, concretely, what a better version of my community would look like in the areas I care about.
2. THE LEVERS: Explain, in plain terms, how elections and local decisions actually affect each of those things.
3. THE FINISH: Give me a simple plan to make sure everyone in my circle votes in the next 4 days. [TELL ME TO CONFIRM VOTING DETAILS AT MY OFFICIAL STATE ELECTION WEBSITE]
4. THE BUILD: Beyond voting, give me 3 things I can personally start after the election to move my community toward that vision.
5. THE FIRST STEP: Tell me the single most important thing to do this weekend."
Always confirm early voting and Election Day details, locations, hours, and ID rules at your official state or local election website.
STRATEGY 1 | PAINT THE FUTURE, NOT THE FEAR
Most get out the vote messaging runs on fear. Flip it. People move harder toward hope than away from dread. Use AI to help you post the future you want, what you are voting FOR, in your own words. A vision of a funded school or a thriving block inspires more action than another warning. Sell the dream, not the nightmare.
STRATEGY 2 | THE PROUD VOTER SERIES
Celebrate the people who showed up. Make a quick graphic or shout out for friends who voted, with a line about why they did it. Use a free design tool to make it clean and shareable. Pride is contagious. When people see their own community proud and voting, the ones on the fence want in.

Close your eyes for a second, then read this. This is not a prediction, it is a picture, the future we are four days from moving closer to. Here is what is on the table when our numbers show up.
OUR VOTE, PROTECTED
Picture an end to the games, the closed polling sites, the purged rolls, the five hour lines in our neighborhoods and none in others. When voting rights are defended instead of chipped away, the power our ancestors died for finally stops being something we have to fight to keep every two years. Remember the A&T students who marched 45 minutes because their campus site was taken. Imagine a future where they never have to.
OUR WORK, RESPECTED
Picture a wage you can actually live on, paid leave when your child is sick, and a fair shot at the good jobs. We have always been the backbone of this country's labor. Workers' rights that have teeth mean our sweat finally builds our own wealth, not just somebody else's.
OUR WOMEN, FREE
Picture Black women, who carry so much of this community on their backs, with full control over their own bodies, their own health, and their own futures. When our women are free and protected, whole families rise. Their freedom is the whole community's freedom.
OUR CHILDREN, INVESTED IN
Picture schools funded like our kids are worth it, real books, real technology, real teachers who look like them and believe in them. When school initiatives pass and the money follows, the next generation walks in with everything we had to fight for. Our children deserve to inherit the win, not the struggle.
OUR SEAT, KEPT
Picture a country that does not spend its energy erasing diversity and inclusion, but builds on it, open doors, fair hiring, and a real shot in every room. BET walked into the stock exchange in 1991 and proved we belong at the biggest tables. The vision is simple: those doors stay open, and more of us walk through.
OUR DEFENDERS, IN POSITION
Picture the people in power actually defending us, attorneys general and leaders using the law as a shield against policies built to hold us back. From Keisha Lance Bottoms seeking the governor's seat in Georgia to Angie Nixon running for the U.S. Senate in Florida, our people are stepping into the exact rooms where these decisions get made. When our own are at the table, the whole conversation changes.
The Ten Year Letter | Write to Yourself From the Future
Vision gets real when you give it a date. This prompt has you write a letter from ten years in the future, from the version of you living in the world we are working to build, back to the you of today. It turns hope into a plan you can actually feel.
ABOUT ME: [WHO YOU ARE, WHAT YOU WANT FOR YOUR FAMILY AND COMMUNITY, WHAT YOU ARE WORKING ON]
1. THE SCENE: Help me describe what my life and community look like in that better future, in vivid, specific detail.
2. THE THANKS: Have my future self thank today's me for the specific things I did, starting with showing up this year.
3. THE INSTRUCTIONS: Have my future self tell me the most important things to keep doing now to make that future real.
4. THE CLOSE: End with a line of encouragement I can come back to whenever I get tired."
High Value Skill: Vision 🔭
Every single thing we have ever built started as a picture in somebody's mind that the world said was impossible. Freedom was a vision. The vote was a vision. BET on the stock exchange was a vision. Vision is the skill of seeing the finished house while you are still standing in the empty lot, and then refusing to look away until it is real. It is what separates people who drift from people who build. In a season that can wear you down, the ability to hold a clear picture of where we are going is not soft, it is the hardest, most practical skill there is. The tired give up because they lost sight of the vision. Protect yours.
This Week's Challenge: Finish your vote if you have not, then write down one thing you will build in the next year toward the future you want. Put a date on it. A vision with a deadline becomes a plan.
Four days left. We have the numbers. We have the vision. Now we finish. Every ballot already cast is a brick in the house. Lay the last ones this weekend, and let's go claim what we have been building toward.
Vote.org: Four days out. Check your registration, find your early voting or Election Day location, and confirm your state's hours and ID rules. Verify, then finish the job.
Claude Duet: The proactive AI from today's issue. Get on the waitlist and let it help you build the future you are voting toward, one task at a time.
Aisha: The AI assistant built by us. Use it to map your vision, plan what you build next, and keep your people organized. Use it and help it grow.
In 1991 we walked into the stock exchange and claimed a seat nobody wanted to give us. Four days from now, we go claim the future the same way: on purpose, together, with our heads up. We have the numbers. We have the vision. If you have voted, thank you. If you have not, this weekend is the time. There is still work to be done, and we are exactly the people to do it. Let's finish strong.
